Stolen Jeep suspected in home invasion is recovered
CRAWFORD COUNTY, Kan. — June 25: Pittsburg Police confirm that the white jeep was recovered on Saturday, June 22nd. It was found in the city limits of Iola, Kansas in Allen County. There are no additional details on the suspects at this time.
June 15: Authorities in Crawford County, Kansas are looking for the people who robbed a home on Crestwood Estates. They believe the suspects were in a stolen Jeep.
The white Jeep Wrangler was taken between 10:00 pm on June 5th and 5:00 am on June 6th from a driveway on Catalpa Street in Pittsburg. It has an identifiable blue star on the hood.

Southwest of Pittsburg, the Sheriff’s Office believes the Jeep was then used in a home invasion early morning on June 6th. Two suspects are seen in the surveillance video.
You can see the suspects park at the end of the driveway and jog up to the home. One of them has a gun. They broke into the garage and stole around $4,000 worth of items.
After leaving the garage with several items in hand, one of them breaks into the truck and steals some more stuff.
The family was sleeping during the break-in.

The Jeep was also seen once north of Girard near Farlington, where two suspects opened the door of a home, but were met by the homeowner who chased them off with a gun.
