STEM Anywhere: Straw Structures

When it comes to your child’s education, one might not see the world of arts and crafts as a portal into the world of science.

That’s why Pitsco’s Anna Gudde and her 8-year-old daughter Hanna showed us an activity that proves otherwise: Building Straw Structures.

It’s a fun, easy project that covers primary academic concepts such as shapes, lines, forces, and loads.

Equipment and materials needed to complete activities include straws, playing cards, tape, rulers, glue, cardboard, string.
