State parks in Kansas take a financial hit after a summer of flooding

This past year’s massive flooding appears to have taken a heavy toll on Kansas state wildlife parks.

The Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism has lost millions of dollars due to park closures, property damage and washed out roads. State parks revenue was hardest hit from May through August.
