Native American Tribes across the United States are gradually losing their languages as fewer tribal members speak in their native tongue and elders stop passing it on to their grandchildren.
Tribes in Oklahoma are taking a stand to stop this trend. In our special report “Lost Language” we look at how the local Eastern Shawnee tribe and Quapaw tribe are working to keep their languages alive for future generations.
