Special Olympics convoy rolls through Joplin
JOPLIN, Mo. – Four-Staters lined the streets of Joplin this evening to catch a convoy of 600 big rigs rolling through town.
The one and only world’s largest truck convoy is a fundraiser for Special Olympics Missouri and also a one day celebration of the people behind our nation’s trucking industry and our local law enforcement heroes.
The convoy kicked things off at 6 PM when it left 4 State Trucks and was assisted by members of the Joplin Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
After traveling a set path through Joplin, the convoy wrapped up at Cunningham Park.
