Soy Lady: Simple n Sassy Dip

Looking for a new recipe to spice up your holiday get-togethers? Charlene Patton from the Kansas Soybean Commission joins us with a tasty and healthy party dip recipe called Simple ‘n Sassy Dip. It was submitted by Melinda Slater, a Missouri native who won third place in the “quick and easy snacks” division at the 2018 Kansas State Fair.

Simple ‘n Sassy Dip

— 1 16-ounce can refried beans
— 1 cup soy sour cream
— ½ cup salsa
— 4 tablespoons taco seasoning
— 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
— 1 can (2.25 oz.) sliced black olives, drained

1. Combine in medium bowl beans, soy sour cream, salsa and taco seasoning.
2. Place in serving bowl.
3. Top with cheese and olives.
4. Refrigerate.
5. Serve with tortilla chips.

— Makes 3 cups dip.
— Serving: 2 tablespoons
