Southeast Kansas man pleads no contest to rape on a school bus
ARMA, Kan. — The Crawford County attorney says a former Arma, Kansas school employee has pleaded no contest to raping a child. A ‘no contest’ plea means he will not fight the charges, but he is not admitting guilt.
Jacob Bryant was a bus monitor for the USD 246 school district when he allegedly committed the crime against a Northeast Elementary School student in November 2018.
School officials reported the alleged crimes to Crawford County Sheriff’s office and the Arma police department.
Today (September 10, 2019), Bryant pleaded no contest to charges of rape and aggravated indecent liberties with a child.
Bryant will be sentenced in October.
