Southeast Kansas man bound over on involuntary manslaughter charge
Crash killed a 70-year-old man
A southeast Kansas man will stand trial for involuntary manslaughter in connection with a crash that killed a 70-year-old man in August of 2018. Patrick Commons is the suspect in the crash that happened on Highway 69. Authorities say the victim, Stephen Hite, was driving south on 69, turned and was rear-ended by Commons.
Authorities say Commons was distracted and speeding before the crash.
Commons is set to appear back in court for his trial on June 30th.
