Something new at the drive-in
CARTHAGE, Mo. — The Route 66 Drive-In in Carthage was up to something a bit different over the weekend.
Instead of showing movies, they were holding their first ever open air flea market. The market was held all weekend at the historic drive-in theater.
Visitors to the drive-in could walk around and check out more than 30 vendors and food trucks. Vendors paid $30 in order to sell for both days of the event.
One vendor at the event had very high praise for the new market.
“Well first, the beautiful weather it’s amazing out here. The crowd has been awesome. The host was amazing. Just a great turnout. We’ve had a lot of fun,” said vendor Steven Schiernbeck.
The drive-in is currently in the off season but will reopen in the spring.
