Shuffleboard Tournament for Scholarship Fund

Contestants hurl balls across the court trying to rack up more points to win a shuffleboard tournament for a Frontenac High School scholarship.

The tournament, along with an auction and 5k run and walk, was held at Pickled Pete’s in Frontenac this afternoon.

Proceeds of the day benefit the Frontenac High School seniors through the Tammy Edge Memorial Raider Spirit Scholarship.

Edge was a mother, sister, daughter and friend who always showed her raider pride.

“Tammy was a great gal, she loved this town she loved this school, she was a true raider fan, and that is what she will be remembered for the most, and so it was just fitting that we do this benefit and turn it back in with proceeds for scholarships for the students” says event organizer Joye Van Gorden.

The scholarship will be awarded to F.H.S. seniors who shows his and her raider pride throughout their years at the school.
