The University of Missouri System President Tim Wolfe made a stop in Webb City, Missouri on Wednesday.

The visit is part of his Show Me Value Tour which is focused on communicating the value of higher education to all Missourians.

Wolfe’s Show Me Value tour was created earlier this year in response to a growing idea that the value of a college degree is declining and that youth should be encouraged to find alternatives to obtaining a four-year college degree.

“The facts are evident that if we have more of an educated citizenry, then you have people that live longer, have a higher quality of live, are more engaged in the community which is very, very important, typically make better decisions, are part of their children’s education,” says Wolfe.

Wednesday’s tour is one of many school visits Wolfe is making around the state.
