Sheriff’s Office investigates arson at Purcell City Hall
PURCELL, Mo. – Investigators say a small fire was set near the entrance of Purcell City Hall.
On June 3, 2021, around 4:18 a.m., Jasper County deputies responded to an attempted arson. When they got to Purcell City Hall (104 W. 3rd Street), they discovered a small fire had been started in the drop box near the entrance. It was already extinguished.
The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office says there was minimal damage to the building. In a release, authorities stated their, “Investigation revealed a report of a possible suspect in the area shortly before the fire described as a female with long hair and medium build in a red passenger car.”
