Body found by Highway 59 in McDonald County, Mo. on July 29, 2019

The McDonald County Sheriff releases the latest information about a female body found on Highway 59 north of Shady Beach Campground.

McDonald County Sheriff Michael Hall:

The female is believed to be a white female that was approximately 5’5″ tall. Weight was not able to be given by the medical examiner.

Due to the decomposition of the body, the female is believed to be around 40 years old. A Forensics Dentist is in the process of doing dental xrays and DNA was collected and will be sent off for DNA analysis and comparisons to the state and national databases.

Dental and DNA will take time to send off for comparisons and in that time, investigators are working with other law enforcement agencies and tips to compare any missing person cases that match the female found.
