Severe Thunderstorms and Flash Flooding Possible in the Northern Plains
A cold front stretched from central Canada into the Northern Plains will be the focus for severe thunderstorms and flash flooding into tonight. The main threats from severe thunderstorms are damaging winds and large hail with an isolated tornado also possible. The core of excessive heat will continue to focus across the Southeast states with heat index values of 105 to 110 degrees forecast.
