Seneca prepares for Fourth of July celebrations
Seneca makes celebrating the Fourth an all-day event, that’s a big draw. This year, organizers expect five-thousand people, more than doubling the population of the entire town. A classic car show this afternoon followed a morning parade and duck race. All-day family fun includes lawn games and bounce houses for the kids.
Crews started early this afternoon setting up for the main event, the fireworks show, which draws-in many from across the Four State region.
“The Chamber has worked really hard on this and other people have, as well,” says Brad Graves, an event sponsor. “And the community gets behind it. I think it’s the location, it’s in the field the town owns. The festival, there’s food, there’s activities, there’s free music. It’s just fun. It’s more than just a fireworks show.”
