Seneca, Mo. man charged with Felony dealing drugs and Felon in possession of firearms
Jason D. Gibson, 39, is being held in the Newton County Jail. A Bond Reduction Hearing has been rescheduled for October 3.
SENECA, Mo. — Earlier this month the Ozark Drug Enforcement Team (ODET) and Newton County SRT served a search warrant at a Seneca, Mo. residence resulting in the arrest of a local man.
ODET Commander Chad Allison states a narcotics search warrant was served Sept 9 at 16719 Condor Lane Seneca Mo. ODET Detectives arrested Jason Daniel Gibson, 39, of Seneca.
“ODET Detectives located a large quantity of Methamphetamines in the residence along with multiple firearms. Gibson is prohibited from possessing firearms. Gibson is facing felony charges of Distribution of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful use of a Firearm. Gibson is currently in custody in the Newton County Jail.” – ODET
According to the Probable Cause Affidavit as officers entered the residence Gibson was in bed. Investigators found six firearms in the residence and one in a garage. “A loaded 9mm pistol magazine were located on a workbench in the garage next to a monitor displaying surveillance camera views. Under Miranda Gibson stated that no firearms or narcotics were inside the residence and for law enforcement to do what they had to do.”
The Newton County Prosecutor’s office have filed the following charges against Gibson:
- Felony Distribution of Controlled Substance
- Felony Unlawful Possession of a Firearm
- Felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon
Monday September 26, 2022 a Bond Reduction Hearing was rescheduled for October 3, 2022.
