Second suspect wanted in Jasper County burglary

JASPER COUNTY, Mo. – Authorities are now looking for a second suspect in a burglary where cash, jewelry and a gun were stolen.

On September 12, 2020, Jasper County deputies responded to an address in the northern part of the county. There was a burglary there and a large sum of cash was taken along with some jewelry and a gun.

During the investigation, authorities identified a person of interest. On September 22, they found him, Ja’Shawn Ellis, 20, at a home in Webb City. They arrested him and took him to the Jasper County Detention Center in Carthage.

The courts have filed charges against Ellis for felony receiving of stolen property and felony delivery of 35 grams or less of marijuana. He was jailed with a $10,000 bond.

As the investigation continues, a second suspect is now being sought. The Jasper County detectives are looking for Ross D. Bush, 17, of Carterville, Missouri. They have a warrant for his arrest for felony stealing with a $75,000 bond.
