2nd arrest made in shooting that killed a Chanute teen

COFFEYVILLE, Kan. – A Topeka woman is arrested in Coffeyville in connection to a shooting last week.

20-year-old Makinzy Steeves of Topeka was arrested on Thursday in connection to a shooting on March 13th that killed 15-year-old Nasha Gregory of Chanute.

Steeves has been charged with one count of aggravated endangerment of a child, one count of contributing to a child’s misconduct with purchase or consumption of an alcoholic beverage for a minor, and one count of interference with law enforcement for falsely reporting a crime. Steeves is a co-defendant along with 19-year-old Treyvin Hayes-Smith of Coffeyville.
