Search for subject off campus puts two Joplin schools into lockout
Joplin police initiated a lockout at two separate school campuses Thursday morning.
The JPD says officers were trying to locate an individual who was under a 96 hour mental evaluation after making comments to family members.
As a precaution both the Memorial 910 campus and the Catholic Schools were notified but were never in any immediate danger.
Officers located the subject at 8th and Pearl and took the individual to a local mental health facility.
