Report of illegal drug activity leads to charges in Vernon County
VERNON COUNTY, Mo. — Nevada Police and Vernon County Deputies arrest Larry L. Coker, 58, of Nevada, Missouri after reports of illegal drug activity.
On August 27th, authorities executed a search warrant on the 1100 block of E. Allison Street in Nevada. Officers had developed information about a known man at that location that had reportedly been involved in illegal drug activity.
Investigators also found that other known individuals had been frequenting there.
When officers got there to serve the search warrant, they found multiple people on the property.
Officers seized suspected methamphetamine, pills identified as controlled substances and suspected drug paraphernalia. The evidence will be sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab for further analysis.
Authorities are requesting misdemeanor drug related charges against six people taken to the Vernon County Jail.
The Vernon County Associate Court has already filed charges against the primary target of the search warrant, Larry Coker.
Coker faces charges of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He’s being held in the Vernon County Jail in lieu of a $100,000 cash only bond.
