Redings Mill Fire battle mobile home blaze, assisted by Joplin Fire and Duenweg Fire
The Red Cross was requested to assisted residents and pets displaced.
REDINGS MILL, Mo. — Just before 4:30 a.m. Friday reports of a structure fire at 6645 Castle Heights Road alerted Newton County Central Dispatch.
Redings Mill Fire, Newton County Deputies and Newton County Ambulance responded emergency. Mutual aid was requested of Joplin Fire and Duenweg Fire.
Everyone and pets were reported to be out of the structure.

The residence, a mobile home, located in a slightly remote area with no hydrants available. Firefighters set up a portable tank to continually fill as they battled the fire.

Fire was declared under control at 5:05 a.m. crews were still working on hot spots at 6 a.m.
The Red Cross was requested to assist four (4) adults and (3) dogs who were displaced by the fire.
