Rain & t-storms for Wednesday AM

Severe threat staying very low

After dealing with a few rounds of rain and t-storms on Monday, we have been enjoying a dry and brighter Tuesday so far. As we get into early Wednesday morning, though, our next wave will roll in from the west. That will trigger showers and t-storms out in central Kansas and allow that area to expand over us as we head into Wednesday morning.

For us, the timing for that complex of rain and t-storms will be between 2 AM and 10 AM Wednesday. We’re not expecting any of our t-storm chances to be severe, but we can’t rule out some potential strong t-storms early Wednesday morning. The better shot for severe weather Wednesday will be within the slight risk in central Arkansas and working into northwestern Mississippi. As the storms roll into that region into the afternoon, that area will have the better chance for any severe t-storms with damaging wind gusts as the primary threat.
