Rain chances look to pick up Christmas Day

With t-storms even possible Wednesday
Rain chances look to pick up Christmas Day

Going into the coming weekend, the setup couldn’t be more ideal for any travel before the Christmas holiday. We’ll stay quiet as highs bounce between the upper 40s and lower 50s all the way through Christmas Eve.

As we head into Christmas Day, the day will start quiet and cold with lows in the middle to upper 30s. We’ll have highs topping out in the middle 50s before a few showers try to develop late Tuesday afternoon.

The rain chances will continue to pick going into Christmas night before our next wave out west kicks into gear. That will lead to t-storm chances on Wednesday. For the time being, it doesn’t look like a severe threat. It wouldn’t be surprising to see rain amounts peak around an inch before we get a quick break on Thursday.
