Rain and t-storm chances possible for Tuesday
Severe weather chances look minimal
JOPLIN, Mo. — Our incoming upper-level low out west will start moving eastward as we proceed through our Tuesday. Combine the upper low with our front returning from the south, parts of the Lower 48, including our area, will have rain (and possibly some t-storm) chances returning.
We’ll have rain chances returning as we proceed through the day on Tuesday, but some instability will try to build in late in the afternoon and into Tuesday evening. That could support some t-storms around our area and into the Middle Misssissippi Valley, but any t-storms should stay below severe limits.
Along the Gulf Coast, moisture and instability carried onshore due to southerly winds could result in scattered t-storms during the day and into the evening. That will only affect the coastal areas of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. While t-storm chances may be present for that region, they shouldn’t see any severe weather.
