QUAPAW, Okla. – Water training is underway for the Quapaw Nation Emergency Management and K9 Unit at Twin Bridges State Park.

This three-day training program teaches crews the best practices during search and rescue scenarios.

“Well in our area, I think waterways are the main recreation, especially in the four states, so we found this to be a vital training that we wanted to make happen,” Stated K9 handler Hugh Murray. “We have people from six different states training with us.”
