PSU men suffer first MIAA loss at Lincoln
Donovan Franklin scored 25 in the loss
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — The Pittsburg State Gorillas suffered their first MIAA loss on Thursday night, falling to Lincoln 96-85.
Donovan Franklin led the way for Pitt State with 25 points, while Grant Lozoya pitched in 24. With the loss, the Gorillas fall to 9-3 overall, including a 2-1 mark in the MIAA.

Jonell Burton and John Burton scored 20 points apiece to lead the Lincoln University men’s basketball team to a 96-85 victory over Pittsburg State University Thursday (Jan. 3) at Jason Gym.
The Blue Tigers (9-3, 2-1 MIAA) claimed their fifth straight victory while handing the Gorillas (9-3, 2-1 MIAA) their first loss in MIAA pay.
LU shot 49.3 percent from the field in the game, making 33 of 67 shots from the field including 11 3-pointers.
Donovan Franklin led all scorers with 25 points to pace Pitt State, while Grant Lozoya added 24 points and Demetrius Levarity chipped in with 17 points.
