Project 10 Million
T-Mobile is helping out students in need of internet access for online learning.
The company is taking applications for Project 10 Million, a mission to give ten million homes free internet.
Over the next ten years, T-Mobile says they’ll put more than ten billion dollars towards helping primarily low income students.
School districts can apply for grant money and then give the phone company students’ zip codes to make sure service is available.
The schools will take care of hot spots and device distribution while T-Mobile does setup and tech support.
T-Mobile’s CEO says the objective is to close what he calls “the homework gap.”
