Possible Body Of Missing Woman Discovered In Osage County
Body Discovered In Osage County

SKIATOOK, Okla. — Authorities in Osage County say they are working to determine whether a body discovered in a northeastern Oklahoma creek is that of a missing woman.
Osage County sheriff’s deputies say the body was discovered Sunday in a creek south of Skiatook, about 105 miles (169 kilometers) northeast of Oklahoma City.
Officials say the body was discovered about 5:30 p.m. near where the car of 51-year-old Laura Pace of Skiatook was found last week. Pace was last seen at a Skiatook Walmart early Thursday.
The body was discovered by kayakers who were part of a team of volunteers that authorities assembled to help search for the missing woman.
Sheriff’s deputies say the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will positively identify the body and determine a cause of death.
