Pool party for pups
JOPLIN, Mo. — Four-State Area dogs got to end the summer on a high note Saturday. Joplin Parks and Recreation held a doggy dive in before they drained the Ewert Aquatic Center for the summer.
The event is a fun way to let dogs get some relief from the heat, take a dip, and practice their dog paddling.
Tuff Love K9 training and the Joplin Humane Society were invited to set up booths to help spread more awareness about their organizations.
“It’s great for kids to come out and see that even animals can get along. It’s great seeing the dogs run around and be happy and making new friends,” said Tasha May with the Joplin Humane Society.
The event was limited to the first 50 dogs.
