Pittsburg schools amend re-opening plan, changes for remote learning students

PITTSBURG, Kan — The Pittsburg school board voted in favor of removing language in the back to school plan involving remote learning.

The language would have barred students who participate in remote learning from participating in co-curricular or extra-curricular activities that can’t be done in a remote learning environment.

Moving forward, students who have selected the Remote Learning Model will be able to participate in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. This applies to activities before and after school not classes during the school day.
