Pittsburg Police looking for suspect in shooting

PITTSBURG, Ks. — Pittsburg Police say around 3:30 p.m. May 5, they responded to a call about a shooting at the 300 block of East Monroe St. Authorities say a woman was sitting in her parked vehicle when a car, described by the victim as white sedan, possibly a late 90’s/early 2000’s Mercury Grand Marquis or Ford Crown Victoria, pulled up beside her. The victim says the driver, a man, started yelling at her and pointed a handgun at her. Authorities say the victim’s back window was shot out but the victim was not hit. Authorities also say the suspect drove away and the investigation is ongoing.
