Pittsburg police arrest suspected kidnapper

On Friday a little after 4:30 PM, Pittsburg police received a call alleging a woman was being held against her will by a man who was armed at a Sycamore Village apartment.

When they got to the apartment, the man and woman were gone but another man fled and was caught after a short chase.

Police arrested 19-year-old Andrew Galloway of Pittsburg who had an active no bond arrest warrant for Failure to Appear. He was also charged with Obstructing Law Enforcement.

Later, officers were called to another residence on 9th and Tucker where gunshots were reported. There they found their initial kidnapping suspect, a 20-year-old man from West Mineral, Kansas who was arrested for holding a woman against her will and firing a shotgun from her vehicle.

He faces multiple charges including Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault, and Domestic Battery.
