Pittsburg officials break ground on middle school renovations

PITTSBURG, Kan. – Officials kick off the bond-funded renovation project aimed at improving The Pittsburg Community Middle School.

School representatives say all four levels of the 1921 section of the building will see much-needed renovations.

The school district says students should expect the following renovations:

  • improved classroom spaces
  • modern science laboratory addition
  • ADA compliant elevator
  • auditorium renovations

“It’s amazing. Especially I’ve went to this middle school sixth, seventh and eighth grade, and I think it’s really awesome to just see the school getting approved.”

Rashaad Green, 8th Grade Student
