Pittsburg kids get a lesson in dog tricks
PITTSBURG, Ks. — Kids got the chance to learn how to teach a dog tricks at the Junior Humane Society program in Pittsburg on Sunday.
Good Boy Professional Dog Training brought in one of their dogs in training to show the kids how to properly teach a pup.
The Junior Humane Society program is a year-long event at the Southeast Kansas Humane Society, meeting once a month to do enrichment activities for the kids.
“The kids are the future. We hear that all the time, but really, if you instill the information on these children and they get to work with these animals hand in hand, they will retain that for the future,” said Jasmine Kyle with the SEK Humane Society.
The SEK Humane Society’s next event with be on August 25th. They’ll be helping the kids make frozen pupsicles and dog treats.
