Pittsburg hit-and-run leaves one man injured

PRESS RELEASE FROM PITTSBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT:

On Wednesday, August 06, 2014 at 12:22 pm, officers responded to Quincy and Homer for an injury crash involving a moped. Witnesses reported an eastbound green in color Pontiac Grand Am turned in front of the westbound moped, causing the driver, 52 year old Craig Fuchs of Pittsburg to lay the moped down, resulting in injuries. The Grand Am did not make contact with the moped.

The Grand Am left the crash scene north bound down an alley and has not yet been located. The white male driver of the Grand Am is being sought for questioning. Craig Fuchs was transported to Via Christi for his injuries.

The investigation into this incident is continuing. Anyone having information related to this incident, or other crimes, is urged to contact the Pittsburg Police Department at 620-231-1700. Callers may remain anonymous.
