Pittsburg 6th and 9th graders get a head start on their new school

School started on Thursday for Pittsburg 6th and 9th grade students only as they transition to middle and high school.

The one day head start gives the students a chance to get acquainted with their new surroundings.

“Tomorrow it’s going to be like chaos, so I think it helped a lot,” says freshman Morgan Grother.

“It was good to see the different classes and meet the teachers, meet the kids we’re going to be in school with,” says freshman Trevor Kent.

Class officially starts for all Pittsburg community students on Friday.
