Pitt State Student Organization Enactus Raises Money To Buy Bikes For Kids.

Pitt State student organization Enactus raises funds to purchase bikes for local children in need.

Thanks to members of Enactus, a student entrepreneur organization at Pittsburg State University, local children will wake up to new bikes under their Christmas trees on Dec. 25.

Bikes are also distributed to families who sign up through the Salvation Army’s Christmas Distribution program.

“Can you imagine the faces of these kids when they see a bike under their tree on Christmas morning?” said Chelsey Decker, Enactus Advisor.

In partnership with Pittsburg Area Young Professionals, Enactus members continue to use their business principles and pitch skills to collect donations and support the bike drive for elementary students. Students raised $1,500, which nearly matched PAYP’s fundraising of $2,000.

“The PAYP goal for Christmas 2022, and every year after, they said, is to raise enough to purchase 100 bikes.
