The Pittsburg State women’s basketball team has cracked the top-25 in the national rankings for the first time this season.

The Gorillas are #23 in the latest WBCA poll released on Tuesday.

Pitt State is currently 15-2 overall, including a 7-1 mark in the MIAA. Their 7-1 league record ties them with Fort Hays State for 1st place in the league.

PSU will be back on the floor on Wednesday night, hosting Emporia State.

Two other MIAA schools made the national rankings this week. Fort Hays State slipped from #3 to #8 in this week’s poll, while Central Missouri returned to the rankings at #25. Click HERE to check out the complete national poll.
