Pitt State professor studies senior citizen activity during pandemic
A Pitt State professor is reaching out to adults who are 65 and older to learn more about how the pandemic is affecting their physical activity patterns.
Dr. Laura Covert is not only a PSU professor but also a co-chair of Age Well Crawford County.
She hopes the data she collects from her senior citizen survey will help give insight on how to keep seniors both connected and active.
“So this might help us to identify more resources and (figure out) how to make those available for those adults, 65-and-older who are a little bit more self-isolated,” said Dr. Covert.
Dr. Covert is accepting confidential survey submissions until June 15th. If you are 65 or older, you can find and take the survey here.
