Pitt State knocks off #1 seed in NCBA DII World Series
The Gorillas will face Wisconsin Saturday
PITTSBURG, Kan. — The Pitt State club baseball team knocked off the #1 seed in the NCBA Division II World Series Friday night, beating Binghamton 2-0 at Jaycee Ballpark in Pittsburg.
Pitcher Jordan Miller threw a complete game shutout for the Gorillas, allowing just four hits and striking out nine.

St. Mary’s Colgan product Garrett VanBecelaere broke a 0-0 tie with an RBI single in the 7th inning. John Barrows (Frontenac HS) followed that with a sacrifice fly to center to give the Gorillas a 2-0 advantage.
Pittsburg State moves on to face Wisconsin on Saturday in round two at 6:00 PM.
