The event is an annual tradition, held at Atwoods for the past 19 years.

Pets of all shapes and sizes came out to strut their stuff and were judged in four weight group categories. Lucky the dragon turtle was the grand champion. The rocket dog and the cowboy horse also took top honors. One of the standout pairs was dixie the English Springer Spaniel and her owner the wicked witch of the west.

“Because of her ears were cute, so that’s why we picked the Wizard of Oz,” said Charley Night, owner.

There was also a Ninja Turtle horse and a cow goat.
