Person of interest in Sarcoxie homicide is male, authorities say
SARCOXIE, Mo. – Investigators release more information on a person of interest in a Sarcoxie, Missouri homicide.
The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is working to identify the person of interest that is believed to have stolen the victim’s Subaru pictured above. They say the person of interest is a white male and may have been on the parking lot of the Kum & Go, 2577 High Street in Sarcoxie, during the afternoon of Jan. 13, 2021.
The victim has been identified as 46-year-old Becci D. Sanders.
Wednesday evening, Jan. 13, around 8:58 p.m., deputies responded to an unknown medical call at 2755 High St. in Sarcoxie. When they got there, they found Becci D. Sanders deceased inside the home.
An autopsy is scheduled for Jan. 15, 2021.
Police are searching for a gray-blue 2015 Subaru Legacy that was reported stolen from the home. The Missouri license plate number is VB1YOE.
