Patriot tour stops in Joplin to hand off the American flag

The Patriot tour stopped in Joplin for the only stop in Missouri to transfer the American flag.
The Patriot Tour is a national event that pays tribute to and honors all of America’s armed forces, past, present and fallen.
The tour starts in Wisconsin and travels coast to coast, getting transferred to the next escort in each location until it makes a full circle back to Wisconsin.
Hideout Harley Davidson held a welcome party for the nation of patriots as they traveled from Kansas.
“It shows respect for the ones that didn’t make it home and it shows respect for the ones that did make it home or it should and all veterans respect the flag and if they don’t somethings wrong ” said Joplin H.O.G club member, Don Sherman.
Sherman is the next escort for the flag. He is leaving July 21st at 10 A.M. to travel to Fort Smith, Arkansas.

There was live music, a flag ceremony, a 21-gun salute and food at the event.
