Parsons Police: Missing snake has been found

Updated September 2, 2013 – According to an email from the City of Parsons received on Sunday, the owner of the missing python found it in his home.

Parsons Police issue public notice

PARSONS, KS–The Parsons Police Department has issued a notice to residents. Around 9:30 p.m. on August 29, police were dispatched to an area near 1322 Leonard for a report of a Python being spotted in a neighbor’s yard.

Upon further investigation, police officers tracked down the snake’s owner, who said it had been missing from their house in the neighborhood since earlier in the week. The snake is reported to be 5-6 feet in length.

Officers were unable to find the snake, and are encouraging residents in the area to call the police department at 620-421-7060 with any sightings of the snake, so that it can be captured.
