Collectors in Kansas raise money for the youth of Labette County.

Southeast Kansas Independent Living holds its fifth annual cool collectibles show and chili cook off.

Everything from rare coins, to baseball cards, and small antiques were traded to raise money for Shaun Hill’s youth summer football camp.

St. Louis Ram’s Quarterback Shaun Hill, is a parsons native.

His goal is to improve the quality and safety of football in the community.

“Our youth are our future of the community and an investment made in the children always pays very, very positive dividends for the community. These are our future leaders and the football camp is just one way to teach leadership skills, and teamwork skills, and integrity,” says SKIL member and hobby promoter Dave Sorrick.

The football camp is open to all children, and SKIL will support any disabled child wishing to attend.

Sponsors hope to raise about a thousand dollars for their cause.
