Ozarks Food Harvest earns 4-star rating from Charity Navigator
8th Consecutive top rating for The Food Bank
A Southwest Missouri food bank that supports Joplin charities received its eighth consecutive four-star rating from Charity Navigator demonstrating strong financial health and commitment to accountability. Ozarks Food Harvest is proud of the designation and credits the generosity of the community.
Bart Brown, president/CEO of The Food Bank said, “Our four-star Charity Navigator rating lets our supporters know they can trust us to use their donations efficiently and effectively to alleviate hunger in the Ozarks.”
Charity Navigator is the leading evaluator of nonprofits in the United States reviewing the financial health, accountability and transparency of more than 9,000 charities nationwide. Only four percent have received at least eight consecutive four-star evaluations.
Ozarks Food Harvest–the Feeding America food bank for southwest Missouri–serves more than 261,000 unduplicated individuals each year in 28 counties throughout the Ozarks. With both food and fund donations, The Food Bank provides more than 1.4 million meals per month to children, families and seniors in need.
