Oklahoma residents hit the polls today to decide on key issues

OTTAWA, Okla. – Voters in Oklahoma are hitting the polls for local elections today, April 5th to make decisions on key issues.

One of the major issues residents are voting on involves school renovations and safety.

If passed, the Yes or No initiative could secure three million dollars to fund a safe room for an elementary school, as well as new stairs, roofing and classrooms for the Quapaw School District.

Another important issue on the ballot is the option to increase the sales tax in Commerce, Okla.
