Oklahoma physician arrested in Arkansas on murder charge
LAKE VILLAGE, Ark. – Arkansas State Police special agents arrest an Oklahoma physician for first-degree murder.
The victim and suspect are both from Tahlequah, Oklahoma. But, the crime happened in southern Arkansas.
On Monday, October 11, 2021, around 12:15 p.m., Chicot County, Arkansas Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a woman in need of medical assistance. The woman was 37-year-old Moria Kinsey.
She was lying outside a vehicle parked alongside U.S. Highway 65, about two miles north of Lake Village. Deputies found 34-year-old Tyler Tait near the vehicle.
Emergency personnel took Kinsey to an area hospital where she later died. The Arkansas State Crime Laboratory is working to determine the manner and cause of death.
State police agents examined the vehicle Tait and Kinsey had been traveling in. They were coming from Mississippi. According to the Arkansas State Police, they found evidence of a physical altercation inside.
Monday evening, after interviewing Tait and speaking with the prosecuting attorney, agents arrested Tait.
Tyler Tait is a physician in Talequah, Oklahoma. The 10th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney filed a first-degree murder charge against Tait. Authorities are holding him at the Chicot County Jail.
