Norma Lee Rodgers

Norma went to be with her Lord and Savor on September 4, 2020, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, surrounded by her children and son-in-law. She lived most of her life in Aurora, Missouri, and the last ten years she resided in Springfield, Missouri. Norma was born September 14, 1929, in Marionville, Missouri, to Theron and Fay Dixon.
Norma was a 1948 graduate of Aurora High School. She owned and operated Rodgers Realty and Rogers Homebuilders in Aurora with her husband, Dean Rodgers.
Norma accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at Elm Branch Christian Church in her teens. Her close brother, Jo Dixon, took her to church and prayed out loud during the service for his sister, Norma, to be saved. Only she could tell this story and she loved to tell it over and over.
Norma married Dean Rodgers in Aurora, Missouri on October 9, 1949. Dean preceded her in death on December 2, 2013. Also preceding her were her siblings, Noema Hitchcock, Joe Dixon and Linda Weirs and her son-in-law, Gerald Peck.
Norma is survived by her three children, Adina (David) Nelson, Vickie Peck and David Rodgers, all of Springfield, Missouri; four grandchildren, twelve great- grandchildren, her brother, Earl Dixon and sister, Joann Wiseley.
A visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.
Memorial donations in memory of Norma, may be made to the Aurora Baptist Temple in Care of the funeral home.
