No Foul Play Suspected in Death of Joplin Woman First Reported Missing
A death investigation leads police to suspect no foul play in the death of a Joplin woman. 38-year-old Tonya Crawford was reported missing by a friend just before six o’clock Friday night. That missing person’s investigation was soon turned into a death investigation when officers and the landlord found here dead inside her own home the next day.
After getting back a preliminary autopsy report this evening authorities have now released the scene on the 300-block of West 14th Street where they had been conducting a death investigation. It’s still not clear how she died, police are waiting for toxicology reports that can take about six to eight weeks.
